Brow Lamination

TANYA BEAUTY CARE STUDIO & ACADEMY

An increasingly popular brow grooming technique, brow lamination creates a long-lasting, slick, brushed-up look to your brows. A sort of semi-permanent ‘soap brow’ alternative, brow lamination helps to tame unruly brows, disguise any gaps and make even the most overplucked eyebrows appear fuller.

At Tanya Beauty Care, we offer professional eyebrow lamination in Sydney expertly handled by skilled brow technicians. Non-invasive, highly effective and long-lasting, our superior laminating techniques deliver truly beautiful brows.

Allowing you to sculpt a defined shape, brow lamination is a low-maintenance solution for those with busy routines and can also be paired with tinting services for added effect.

Working with you, our brow experts determine the ideal shape for your brows before laminating, trimming and plucking them to face-framing perfection. Setting new standards as leading eyebrow specialists, we offer the best brow lamination services in Sydney and guarantee to give you your best-ever brows.

About Brow Lamination

How It Works

Essentially a ‘brow hair texturising treatment’, the brow lamination process sees a brow specialist applying a chemical solution to the brows that softens the hair follicle. This then allows the brows to be reshaped and set for a more refined, lifted appearance and brows that are seriously sleek and easily maintained.

Appointment Preparation

To prepare for your brow lamination appointment and ensure the best results we ask that you:

  • Arrive with a clean eyebrow area that is free of makeup, serums, sunscreen or moisturiser.
  • Avoid threading/waxing/plucking/trimming your brows for up to four weeks prior
  • Do not exfoliate the area within 72 hours of your booking or apply Retinol, Retin-A, BHA/AHA as this may irritate your skin or make it more sensitive to the laminating solution.
What To Expect

On arrival at your Sydney brow lamination service, you will be shown to a private treatment room and asked about your preferred eyebrow shape. You will then be asked to lie down on the treatment bed before your brows are combed and styled into your preferred shape and direction and the chemical solution is applied.

The solution is left on the brows for around five to ten minutes depending on the coarseness of the hair before being repositioned and neutraliser applied. Altogether you can expect it to take just 15 to 20 minutes to complete. If adding tinting or waxing to the same appointment, this will extend the total appointment time.

Brow Lamination Aftercare

For the first 24 hours after brow lamination, you must avoid getting your brows wet - no water, heat, steam, sweating, pools, tanning beds, or direct sunlight.

For up to 48 hours we also recommend avoiding the use of makeup, makeup remover, toners, cleansers, exfoliators, fake tan or similar on or around the brows. You should continue to pause the use of Retinol, Retin-A, and BHA/AHA for around 72 hours.

A nourishing brow oil may be used with a mascara wand to help place the brows and condition them during this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Brow Lamination Exactly?

Brow lamination is a noninvasive procedure that chemically straightens and realigns the direction of the natural brow pattern. It gives the appearance of a fuller, fluffier brow similar to microblading but without any discomfort or downtime for associated healing.

How Long Does Brow Lamination Last?

Depending on how you care for your brows, the effect of lamination can last anywhere between four to six weeks or in some instances up to eight weeks. If you do not repeat the lamination procedure, your brows will simply return to their natural growth pattern.

Does Brow Lamination Damage Natural Brows?

Just as chemically straightening your hair can dry it out and damage it, laminating your brows can potentially have the same outcome. However, any damage is not permanent and can be largely avoided if the procedure is done professionally and not repeated too close together.

Who Is Brow Lamination Suited To?

Brow lamination is ideal for anyone who:

  • Wants to improve the overall look of their brows
  • Has sparse brows or are growing out their brows
  • Isn't ready or willing to commit to microblading or permanent makeup
  • Struggles with unruly, stubborn eyebrow hair
Can Anyone Have Their Eyebrows Laminated?

While brow lamination is considered safe, there are some cases in which it may not be the best option for you. This includes if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have sensitive skin, have recently had eye surgery or have open wounds or broken skin in the eyebrow area.

Additionally, it is not recommended for those who have eczema or psoriasis near the eyes or who have recently been sunburnt.
